Oh, Kansas City...

Living in the Kansas City area for most of my life, I didn't necessarily take advantage of all it has to offer.  I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I went to The City Market and The Plaza wasn't visited too often either.  Recently, I ran a 5K at The City Market and remember seeing so many spots that would be PERFECT for a photo shoot.  It was like a photographer's dream setting.  Family... senior... even children... there are SO many possibilities for gorgeous backgrounds.  I am thinking of offering mini shoots for families/couples that are looking for a smaller session and lower rates.  I'm not sure how many would be interested but I am itching to do a shoot or two in KC!

Editing (Before and After)

I always love seeing "Before and Afters" so here is my take.  I don't really think I can say I appreciate them MORE after focusing my time on photography- I've just been able to look at it from a different light.  I find myself constantly critiquing the artist of any particular image and taking mental notes as to what I agree/disagree with.  At times, I even think I have forever been "tainted" because I can't just look at a picture... wheels start turning as soon as I put place my eyes on it.  *Back to my original post* Editing takes quite a bit of time for photographers.  From lighting to cropping and color adjustments, it takes me about 20 minutes for each of my images (at this time).  Maybe they'll go by faster in time?  Maybe they'll take even longer once I learn more?  Who knows.  I love what I do and this is just one part of it :)

Welcome to my blog!  We've all heard the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words."  Although I agree, I wanted a place to give more of a description to those I photograph.  Be sure to check back from time to time as I will try my best to keep this updated.  P.S.
