Stepping out of my comfort zone. And I love how it turned out :)

Day 116: Editing My Heart Out
I feel like I haven't taken an actual picture in a while, but I've been editing my little heart out. Here's one I edited today.

Day 114: Finally
Man, it felt like I've been working on Kyria's album for months. Working full time along with the holidays has made for a busy Areke. Sheesh.

Day 111... I Finally Know What I Want...
Not for Christmas. It's a little late to be asking for something with 1.5 hours before the actual day. As my next big photography purchase, I want a macro lens. Love my 50mm, but I would love to be able to get even closer. Yup, that's what I want. Oh yeah, the picture. Cookies for the neighbors and Lindsey's uncle. Thank you, Pinterest :)
Day 110: Oh Christmas Tree...
Why yes, that IS a decorated tree. But not mine. Ha! Ours is about 3 feet tall and has colorful lights... pretty lame. This one belongs to my parents. I must say, when I buy a "real" tree one day, I want it decorated with clear lights and lots of silver ornaments.

Day 109: Daddy/Daughter
Two sessions in one day- checked off the list. There were many great shots so it wasn't hard at all to come up with one for my blog post. Here is one I haven't posted on Facebook yet. Shae and her dad. Unplanned shots are the best.
Day 108: Thank Goodness for Edits...
If it wasn't for edits, not sure how I would be able to keep up with this 365 project. Working hard to get this session done. I hate having sessions pile up.

Day 104: Holiday Cheer
How I love seeing Christmas cards from friends in my mailbox. Hopefully these little guys bring a little smile to their recipients :)

Day 103: Pretty Lights
I love the fascination in little Kyria's eyes. Those lights... they're just so pretty and bright! Must. Eat. Them. LOL, no lights ever got to her mouth. Mom was very close to her the entire time and made sure she was safe at all times. Love experimenting with low light. And of course, love a little girl named Kyria.
Day 102: Little Miss Kyria
6 months already? Crazy, I know. I remember seeing her when she was just a few days old. My goodness. She's still as cute as a button and the sweetest little girl I've met to date.
Day 101: Differences
If you've been keeping up with my blog for a while, you know that I like to share before and afters from time to time. I spent a little more time than I usually do on this one. Can you find all the differences? I'll put the answer beneath the second image.
SOOC
Edited :)
Differences include: cropping, Dad's eyes are now open, Mom's sweater now covers her adorable baby bump, cropping, red wagon in the grass is now gone and a few strays hairs removed from Mom's face.

Day 100: Not an iPad
No, it's not an iPad. Honestly, I'm not a fan of iPads. I played with one for about a year and the only thing I found useful was the ability to zoom in on Angry Birds. Instead, Lindsey has a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Way better. And as you would imagine, I think iPhones are just as overrated. Android all the way.
Day 99: Extra! Extra!
Have I mentioned how I have the greatest clients? A few weeks ago, I took senior pictures and the mother was gracious enough to offer me a spot to advertise in all of the neighborhood schools' booster guides (I'm sure I butchered the name). Is the program/book that parents can purchase at a school's sporting event, highlighting all of the winter sports and it has pictures of team members. How amazing of an opportunity!! So grateful for this and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Day 98: Sharing is Caring
I went into the office the other day and found a COMPLETELY empty bag of Munchies. Never even knew Lindsey bought them. Jerk. I found these the next day with a note, "You can share if you want LOL."

Day 95: Warm Thoughts
Think of warm thoughts, Crosby. Don't remember that it's really 50 degrees (at most) and we have you out, asking you to smile. LOL, it's not surprise that we've gotten off on the wrong foot. Every time we see each other, I'm bugging you with a huge camera in your face :)
Day 94: Season's Greetings
Absolutely LOVE seeing my clients using their images on holiday cards. And even better, receiving a copy. I have one from two special little guys that were born just a couple months ago. Can't wait to make a creative way to display them :)
Day 93: Santa Baby
Santa can be traumatizing for a little one! Brinnlie definitely was not a fan of him... that for sure!
Day 92: Sweet Notes
I'm spoiled. Yes, I know. A little note written on a napkin with dinner. LOL, I think he left out a word, but that's what makes it so special. Love him so!

Day 91: #WhiteBalanceProbs
More on this beloved gift of mine. I was working at it for a little while with no luck. My pictures were still more yellow than ever before and I couldn't figure it out. So many people raved about how amazing this little gadget was. And voila! Asked a few questions and figured out how to use it. *Cue heavenly music now* P.S. Don't mind the subject. Miley was getting tired of my camera and hid underneath the bed.
Day 90: Expodisc
My beloved Expodisc came in the mail earlier today. Still having lots of trouble with it. I am hesitant to put this up as this is NOT even remotely close to what I am capable of, but I know this is a log of my photography journey. Ick.

Day 89: Precious Moments
Was this picture "planned"? No. Well, yes. Yes, I did ask them to laugh with each other and have a grand ol' time. But no, Clare looking at her daddy with the her head back, the most loving smile and her gently touching his arm was the opposite of planned. Clark looking at his mom with that young boy grin and of course, Jamie looking at her husband with pure love... definitely not planned. I planted the seed. But the rest was all them. Couldn't plan the outcome any more perfectly even if I tried.

Day 88: Senior Boys
In general, senior guys usually have something in common: they aren't too thrilled about senior pictures. Tucker was such a nice guy and it was great hanging out with him. With anything I suggested, he went along with it and was a great sport.
Day 87: Fluffy Puppies
I technically took this picture on my 88th day, but I'm going to pretend I didn't skip a day. This isn't your "typical" senior picture, but Maggie sure did love playing with Tucker and I couldn't help but include it. Such a sweet moment. I think they'll be buds for a long time to come :)
