Day 86: Toasty Nights

One of the many things I love about winter... toasty nights by the fireplace.  Of course, our fire only lasted about 10 minutes since we didn't have any real starter logs and the junk mail we used wasn't enough :)  Although it's just a picture of a regular ol' fire, I like it.  A lot.  I actually thought about using it as my cover photo on FB, but it gave off a riskay feel to me.  Am I crazy?  Hmm.  I'll just leave it here :)

Day 85: Low Light

I just like this picture.  When I showed it to Lindsey, the first thing he said was, "Why is it so blurry??" I meant for the fire to be out of focus.  I would love to have the stockings a tad lighter, but I'm still loving it.  Thankful for the low light capabilities of my camera.

Day 84: Pretty Bokah

When I took this picture, I was searching for something... anything to take a picture of.  I'm thankful for pretty, Christmas light bokah (when things are blurry, sometimes unrecognizable) and knowing how to achieve it.  And I'm thankful for black and white conversions.  Love how this one turned out :)

Day 83: Tis the Season

Tis the season.  Wait... a month full of thankfulness... I'm so confused!  I'm thankful that it's starting to look like my favorite holiday around the house.  And my birthday :)

Day 82: Fuzzy Socks

Boy, were my toes thankful for fuzzy socks today.  The temps outside weren't too bad but inside the house was another issue.  Love these guys!

Dy 81: Sonic

I've been craving some Sonic for a few days.  We tried to stop by on Thanksgiving day (for lunch).  But they were closed.  Not tonight though!!

Day 80: New Smiles

There's something about a smile that's missing a few teeth that gets me every time.  I loved Ryan's smile.  Just perfect.  I am grateful at the power of "new smiles" today.

Day 79: Turkey... Sandwiches?

Yes, I said turkey sandwich.  I'm just not a fan of the regular, oven baked turkey.  My honey smoked, sliced turkey sandwich was amazing.  Topped with pepper jack cheese and spinach on honey wheat bread.  Yum!!

Day 78: Get Comfortable

Man, I have a few days to catch up on.  Today, I am grateful for those who are comfortable in front of the camera.  It usually takes a while, but most warm up.  This was Christa's first outfit.  She was just a natural!

Day 77: Picture "Perfect" Families

I'm thankful for the picture "perfect" families.  I love the randomness of the one sibling in every family that can't keep a straight face in pictures, for mom who does the infamous hand lick to fix your fly aways and the dog who wags her tail, making us smile, no matter what kind of day we had.  Now, THAT'S a picture perfect family.

Day 76: Candid Love

I just love candid, family pictures (if you couldn't tell already).  I am grateful for these special moments today.  Makes me smile!

Day 75: Laughs

Thankful today for good laughs.  You know, the kind that have you looking crazy if you're caught on camera, right in the middle with your head back and your smile as big as it gets.  Yes.  Those kind of laughs are the absolute best.

Day 74: Strike a Pose!

I just heart love senior pictures.  I had the chance to take pictures of Christa, who was needing head shots.  Today, I am thankful for her being able to strike a pose oh so well.  Seriously, she is a professional model in the making!

Day 73: Reuniting

Reunited and it feels so good!  I have a confession to make.  Yesterday was a pretty busy day and taking a picture crossed my mind but I skipped it anyways.  I thought I would be able to make up for it with the several pictures I took today.  So happy I got to see my long lost bud today along with her boy and girls.  Beautiful family!

Day 72: Time

Right at half way through my month of thankfulness.  Today, I'm thankful for time.  Just a little of it.  I've been wanting to edit this session for several days but have been pretty busy.  I'm easy to please.  Just an hour or so to get some pictures ready.  Hopefully, I can get the entire album finished by tomorrow :)

Day 71: New Job

I am grateful for a new job.  So far, training has been fun.  The people are great but it still makes me nervous to think about doing this all on my own.  Regardless, I know it will be easier with practice.

Day 70: Before and After- Newborn Addition

Day 13 of a month full of Thankfulness.  I dedicate today's gratitudes to before and afters.  Love them.  Shows such a change while still keeping a natural look.  Newborn skin is so unforgiving.  As adorable as many newborns are, you are usually NOT seeing the image SOOC (straight out of camera).  Editing goes into taking out red, splotchy skin as well as baby acne is several instances.  And so on to my picture of the day.

Day 69: Getaway

Today, I am thankful for my mini getaway.  Actually, it's not really a getaway.  I'm training for my new job.  Cool thing about training is I get to stay in a pretty nice hotel for a week, get gas paid for and an allowance for meals.  And get paid on top of it.  Of course I'm looking forward to the new job, but I'm not gonna lie, I'm also pretty excited to get away from my regular routine for a few days.

Day 68: Sunday

I dedicate my thankfulness to Sunday today.  Yes, just Sunday.  It's been a busy week and I needed a little bit of time to bum it out.  I still did lots of editing, but I got to wear pajamas for most of it.  Here's one of my edits from a session a few days ago.  Love it.

Day 67: Family Fun

Today, I am thankful for siblings that love each other.  I was lucky enough to meet Miranda and her siblings (and her bf along with her brother's gf) today.  Such phenomenal weather and they matched so well with the colors they chose.  Seriously, I should use them as models for what to wear.  I can't tag them in pictures because the pictures are a Christmas surprise.  Sigh.  Still had a blast!

Day 66: Gonna Get You!

On this 9th day of thankfulness, I dedicate it to the game of "I'm gonna get you!"  Amos loves this game, and I love playing it with him.  I think we got this smile from mom pretending to run from a bee. Gotta love parents and their silly antics :)

Day 65: Sassypants

For my 8th day of thankfulness (is that even a word?), I would like to give to to Miss Sassypants.  I really do love 3 year olds.  They are old enough to have a pretty good conversation with, come back with hilarious stuff and can sit still long enough for a few pictures.  Kaden was all of these and more.  We got lots of hilarious faces :)

Day 64: Hollister Model

Today, I'm thankful for Hollister.  I gave Chase a hard time because he was nailing poses left and right and he admitted he once worked at Hollister.  It all makes sense.  Regardless, I was very impressed with his willingness to pose.  He actually gave me a few ideas.  Here is one of his more intense looks.

Day 63: Squishy Babies

Day 6: I am thankful for sleeping and squishy babies.  Goodness, it took a lot not to squeeze his little cheeks.  So great to get my baby fix in with the recent newborns.  Silas didn't want to miss a thing so he stayed awake for a while, but we were still able to get sleepy shots :)

Day 62: Warm Thoughts

Day 5.  Boy was it chilly tonight!  I'm thankful for warm thoughts and getting the shots we were looking for without wasting time outside :)

Day 61: Smarties

Day 4 of a month of being thankful.  Today, I am thankful for Smarties.  You know, the circular candies that you haven't had in years?  Yes.  Smarties.  Of course, I'm not sure I would have needed them because these girls were cooperative from the start.  Little Rachel didn't get any Smarties, but I still wanted to share this adorable little smile.  Thank you, Smarties, and happy kids :)

Day 60: Funnies

Today, I am thankful for funny expressions.  I definitely love finding good surprises as I'm editing.  Thanks, C-Man!

Day 59: Paci

I decided I would try the "Month Full of Thanksgiving" idea for pictures.  I don't think it'll be too hard to do for 30 days.  Today, I am thankful for pacifiers.  LOL, they do wonders :)  I think Crosby would agree.

Day 58: Thankful for Technical Support

I've seen several people kick off the month full with "I'm Thankful for..." status updates on Facebook.  Highly doubt I'll do a month's worth of 365 posts with things I'm grateful for (although it has got me thinking).  We'll see.  Anyways, back to the picture.  Lindsey bought a new phone a couple days ago and he gave me his "old" Galaxy S3.  With that being said, I've been on the phone with Sprint more times than I'd like count in the past 36 hours.  First, I couldn't make or receive calls on the old phone or new phone.  When that was resolved, I couldn't send texts and getting them was hit and miss.  Finally, tonight, I realized I wasn't getting any incoming calls. After one last phone call to technical support, I think I can make and receive calls and texts.
